Our Story
Ethos Mechanical was founded in 2007 by Greg Ambanoudis—a truck driver who knew firsthand the challenges of keeping fleets on the road.
Starting with just a service truck, Greg performed repairs on the side of the road, in clients’ yards, and on oilfield sites throughout Alberta. His reputation for quality work and reliability quickly grew, leading to the opening of his first shop in Plamondon. Ethos soon expanded into parts sales, towing, welding, and both automotive and heavy-duty repairs.
In 2021, Ethos moved into its current 22,000+ sq. ft. facility in Lac La Biche, outfitted with large drive-through bays, overhead cranes, vehicle lifts, and wash bays—situated on 9 acres of secure, fenced yard. In 2024, a new parts location was added in Grassland to better serve clients in the surrounding area.
April 1st marks five years in the Lac La Biche location—and we’re now a team of over 20 strong, proudly supporting local operators, fleets, and industries every day.
What We Do
Our services include diesel engine repair, trailer maintenance, welding and fabrication, heavy equipment service, mobile repairs, and full towing and rescue. Our facility is equipped to handle everything from light automotive to heavy industrial machinery. We’re proud to be known for our honesty, integrity, and no-pressure approach. Whether you’re a fleet manager, owner-operator, or everyday driver, we’ll get you back on the road without upselling what you don’t need.
Our newly expanded Parts Department—with locations in Lac La Biche and Grassland—carries a wide range of top-name brands, offering fast delivery and expert support to help minimize your downtime.

Ethos Mechanical is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Whether it’s an in-shop repair or roadside rescue, you can count on us to be there when you need us most.
